Acne Rosacea is a type of skin irritation affecting the face, especially on nose, forehead, and cheeks. It can affect to teenagers and forty to fifty age groups. In the beginning flushing of the face occurs, which leads to redness of the nose and cheeks, along with broken veins.
From time to time it slowly affects the skin and becomes more inflamed, with pus spots, spots, and swelling developing. In people who have this type of condition for a longer period, the nose become distorted and enlarged and this condition is known as rhinophyma.
In some patients facial inflammation and swelling affect the face are also seen.
The exact cause of acne rosacea is unknown and the process involves in dilation of the small blood vessels of the face.
Suspected causes of rosacea include but it is not limited to genetic factors such as a mite sometimes found in hair follicles, bacteria associated with stomach ulcers, genetics plus sun exposure, gastrointestinal disease, and medications that also causes blood vessels to widen. |
