Back Acne

Back acne is acne that pops up at our back body is also known as Bacne. It is harder to treat than the normal facial acne because our back skin is thick and constantly producing oil that comes out through the thousands of sebaceous glands on the skin.

Sometimes, there might have severe nodules and cysts building up on the acne causing it even harder to treat.

There is only one known possible cause of back acne. Back acne affects backpacker the most as they need to carry heavy backpacks that will rub on their shoulder and the back causing irritation and later the acne development.

If you have back acne, you might consider to hand carry the bags instead of carrying it on the back to increase further discomfort.

You can try to carry the backpack again on the back once the acne has cleared but if there is more to come, you know it is better to stick to hand held bag.

To treat back acne, there is a special procedure you need to follow so you will be able to benefit the most from the treatment and your back acne will disappear even faster. It involves the use of chemical substance known as glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy.

The first step is to wash the back area with a mild cleanser gently and then rinse and let it dry. After drying up the area, apply alpha hydroxy lotion slowly and let it dry. After that apply the bp in any amount you need.

You can apply bp first before you apply alpha hydroxy. There is no problem if you find it is better to apply bp first. In the end, apply enough moisturizer if you need it.

This is not a compulsory step but it can help to protect your skin so there is no harm in applying the moisturizer.

When you are using alpha hydroxy to treat back acne, it is best to avoid area near the arm pit as it might get irritated when in contact with alpha hydroxy.

It is advisable to start with a small area when you are using alpha hydroxy for the first time instead of using it all over the back, to make sure there is no irritation or any bad reactions and side effects.
